"GOOD NEWS TAKES THE SCENIC ROUTE"
26th SEPTEMBER 2017 - SHORTLISTED - IRISH LIGHT OPEN CALL '17
I am greatly honoured to have two images shortlisted in this year's Irish Light Open Call. The quality of photography in Ireland, considering it's relative size, is impressive and Irish Light showcase some fantastic works in their annual competition. Congratulations to all friends and fellow photographers shortlisted, I hope to see many of you at the Big Day on 15th October 2017.
21st JULY 2017 - SHORTLISTED – LANDSCAPE PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR 2017
Yesterday I received one of those emails that makes you smile. One of my images submitted to this year’s Take-a-View’s “Landscape Photographer of the Year” Awards has been shortlisted. Unfortunately due to the competition rules I can’t reveal the image selected, sorry!
Honestly I am just pleased to have reached this point in the competition and if it goes no further then I’ll not be disappointed. Final judging commences soon I believe, with the outcomes due late October.

17th FEBRUARY 2017 - LOCAL BOOK TO RAISE FUNDS FOR CANCER RESEARCH UK
It is an immense honour to announce that one of my images, captured on Slieve Bearnagh in 2016, has been used as a book cover. When local author Dermot Breen contacted me about using the image for his book ‘The Edge’ I was more than thrilled, particularly as proceeds from sales will go to fund cancer research. I am looking forward to getting my hands on a copy of his true story of strength in tragedy, sure to be a thought provoking and inspirational read. Cancer is a disease that touches us all in some way, shape or form - so please do pick up a copy for this worthy cause. Thanks.
‘The Edge’ may be purchased for £12.99 from following links:
